Hexagram 58The Joyous (The Lake)

"The Joyous. Success. Perseverance is advantageous."
The Lake doubled. Two lakes that communicate and enrich each other without ever depleting. This is the image of shared joy, genuine communication, and teaching. The joy described here is not an empty frivolity: it rests on two Yang lines (inner solidity) covered by a Yin line (outer gentleness). A firmness of character that knows how to become supple and welcoming towards others.
"Lakes resting one upon the other: the image of the joyous. Thus the noble man gathers with his friends to converse and practice."
Isolated knowledge stagnates like stagnant water. Joy arises from intellectual and spiritual exchange.
The Jungian "Feeling" function operating in a healthy manner. It is the Ego that has found its internal equilibrium and, consequently, can open up to others without fear of disappearing. True joy is contagious and dissolves defensive armors. If you are facing a difficulty, do not withdraw: seek dialogue, share your knowledge. Authentic joy is a healing force superior to brute strength.
Quantum Entanglement. Two particles that have interacted are now bound by an intimate ("joyous") and indestructible relationship. The state of one instantly determines the state of the other, regardless of the distance separating them. They no longer form two isolated entities, but a single cohesive system where information is shared without delay or effort.
