"Stagnation. Unfavorable for the perseverance of the noble man. The great departs, the small approaches."
In exact opposition to Peace, here Heaven is above and ascends, while Earth is below and descends. The two forces inexorably drift apart, severing all communication. It is sterility, total blockage, decline. Mediocrity seizes power as individuals of worth withdraw. External action is doomed to failure.
"Heaven and Earth do not unite: the image of stagnation. Thus the noble man retreats into his inner worth to escape difficulties. He does not allow himself to be honored by revenues."
In a corrupt or blocked system, integrity demands withdrawal. Do not attempt to salvage the public situation. Protect your inner light and await the reversal of the cycle.
You are experiencing a form of dissociation or depression. The rational mind (Heaven) has disconnected from instinctive and emotional roots (Earth). Body and mind no longer communicate. This results in a feeling of emptiness, emotional blockage, or loss of meaning. Do not attempt to force a solution through intellect. Accept this time of withdrawal, protect your psychic center, and wait for the ice to melt.
This is maximal entropy (the thermal death of a system). The components of the system are completely isolated from one another (quantum decoherence). No exchange of information is possible. The wave function is frozen in an inert state. Only the injection of new energy (a mutation of the cycle) can reignite the dynamics of entanglement.
