"Abundance brings success. The king attains it. Do not be sorrowful. Be like the sun at midday."
Thunder and Lightning (Fire). This is the absolute zenith, the moment of utmost clarity and power. You are at the pinnacle of your capabilities. Yet, the I Ching is the book of cycles: the very instant the sun reaches its zenith is also the moment its decline begins. A slight melancholy may arise in the face of this impermanence. The oracle advises: do not be sorrowful! Embrace this abundance, radiate with all your might now, for this is your hour.
"Thunder and lightning come together: the image of abundance. Thus the noble man adjudicates disputes and executes punishments."
The clarity of lightning reveals the truth, the power of thunder enforces it. This is the moment to be just and decisive.
A rare period of psychological plenitude. The Self perfectly illuminates the Ego, action is aligned with consciousness. You produce magnificent fruits. Jung would emphasize the necessity of accepting this temporary glory without attachment. The Ego suffers if it seeks to freeze the zenith for eternity. Celebrate this apotheosis, share your light with the world, and prepare serenely for the evening that will come.
The Supernova Event. The final and glorious explosion of a massive star. It is the moment of absolute luminosity (capable of outshining an entire galaxy) and maximal energy abundance. Although it marks the death of the star, it is this explosive abundance that propels heavy elements (carbon, gold) into the cosmos, making life possible.
