Upper : Water (Kan) - ☵Lower : Earth (Kun) - ☷
"Solidarity brings fortune. Consult the oracle once more to discern if you possess sublimity, endurance, and perseverance. If so, there is no blame. The uncertain gradually join. He who arrives too late encounters misfortune."
Water rests upon the earth, the two unite to fertilize the soil. This is the hexagram of association, synergy, and the human family. For union to function, a strong and integral center of attraction is necessary. This is an extremely favorable moment for partnerships, provided one is sincere and does not hesitate indefinitely.
"Water upon the earth: the image of solidarity. Thus the ancient kings granted fiefs and cultivated the friendship of the lords."
The very nature of water is to flow, to embrace the form of the earth and infiltrate it. There is no barrier. This is the principle of social and spiritual integration.
Union speaks to the profound desire for completeness and belonging. On the inner plane, it is the reconciliation between the conscious and the unconscious: you gather your own scattered fragments to become whole (the goal of Jungian individuation). On the outer plane, it is the mutual attraction of souls. Do not remain isolated; synchronicity reveals that by connecting with others around shared values, you will find your exact place.
This is the macroscopic illustration of quantum entanglement and field theory. Water and earth are not separate; they form a global system (the fertile mud). When you vibrate at the frequency of authentic solidarity, you naturally attract to yourself (through morphic resonance or synchronicity) the elements and people who resonate on the same harmonic.
